We have both small and larger studio spaces available for rent.  Give us a call 508-834-7855 or stop by any Wednesday evening from 7-9PM.

We now have shelves for plastic bins for member storage. We are still working out what is included with membership and how much to charge if you need more storage.  Please use the "Contact Us" link to inquire about your specific project storage needs and we will try our best to accomodate them.

Are You interested in Teaching a class in the Makerspace?

Of course you are!

If you have a maker skill you would like to share, our makerspace wants to work with you. You can plan a single session training or a series which happens on a schedule (all of a vacation week, weekly, monthly, you choose). If we can host your class, we will offer the use of our space and even our equipment, where appropriate.

Our initial activities have all been built around shared interests with a mainly informal "class" structure, but we hope to develop a series of offerings that will let us serve the communities of the Metrowest area and attract new members.

Fees for classes at Framingham Makerspace are split 50:50 between the instructor and the makerspace so we can support our space and equipment maintenance costs. It is not necessary to be a member to offer classes at the makerspace.

Members of Framingham Makerspace are not required to teach courses, but we hope that the spirit of sharing skill and knowledge will result in informal mentoring so our group's skill set grows and matures with time.

Course planning should consider the target audience and the maker-skill you want to teach. Not all activities can be child-friendly, but we are very interested in encouraging youth-oriented events. Making is for EVERYONE!

Interested in Joining Framingham Makerspace?

We are exploring the intersection of art, technology and community.  Providing space, equipment, training and a supportive community for our members enabling them to build their dreams.

Framingham Makerspace is incorporated as a non-profit in Massachusetts.  We have 501c3 fiscal sponsorship through Social Good Fund. We get most of our operating revenue from member dues and have no employees.  Our members volunteer their time to run the makerspace.

$30/month - Access to multipurpose, electronics, 3D printing, vinyl cutter, hand tools when a key holding member is present.  No access to wood, metal or welding shops. This membership is open to adults and minors 12 years of age and older provided parent is also a member and directly supervises (is working together with) minor member at all times.  Adult members may participate in shop tool training and checkout but cannot use the shop equipment.

$100/month (key holding member) - 24/7 Access to all shops and equipment.  This membership is open to adults only at this time.

Studio renters are required to have a key holding membership.

Community is important at Framingham Makerspace.  We expect our members to be active in our makerspace community.  For that reason we do not offer day passes or other short term memberships to our makerspace.

All members are required to be checked out on each piece of equipment before use.

We try to hold member social gatherings, usually potluck, every few months.
